There’s a lot of talk these days about reinventing yourself.  I am not speaking about simple adjustments, but whole transformations.  There are articles, books and workshops that will walk you through the process of creating a whole new you!  It is very exciting and sometimes necessary.  The same goes for a home.  Sometimes a room needs more than a cosmetic fix.  It needs surgery.  Walls have to come down for a real transformation.

SCL took on such a project last year and we are very excited to share it with you in this newsletter.  We had a great team on the job and the clients were open to real change.  Walls came down and their basement was reinvented into a stunning retreat.  Please read Kim’s Pearls for the whole story which includes photos.  You can also see this fabulous transformation for yourself during the 2018 Reston Home Tour on October 13th.  The home is on the tour and worth a visit.

We also decided to do a little reinventing of ourselves this summer.  SCL went through a rebranding process and we said good-bye to our signature chair logo.  Take a look at “What’s Happening at SCL” to see our shiny new logo.  I hope you like it.

In the last few months we have spent many hours with David Keith Photography taking photos of recently completed projects.  I invite you to visit our website to see what’s new in our Portfolio.  I am always dazzled by David’s work and appreciate his efforts to make us look good!

Warm regards,

Kim
